We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated, and patient individual to support our 19-year-old daughter with autism in achieving greater independence and enjoying a fulfilling, active lifestyle.

Responsibilities include:

• support her through her everyday routines, including personal care tasks e.g., showering, brushing teeth

• provide guidance and encouragement to complete everyday tasks, emphasising her independence

• encourage participation in leisurely activities e.g., going out for a walk with her, going to the park or the beach, going for car rides

• record behavioural data and collaborate with wider team and psychologist

Hours: Support is needed before and after school on weekdays, weekend shifts are also available. Hours are increased during school holidays. Hours can be negotiated depending on your schedule

If you are studying ABA/psychology/other health degree, or have previous experience supporting individuals with disabilities, this would be preferred, but not essential as all training will be provided. Students studying speech language therapy or occupational therapy are also preferred.
