We are searching for a motivated and experienced Front of House and Duty Manager to thrive with us over the summer at Midnight Shanghai. We are a Modern Chinese Restaurant and Karaoke, All Day Dim Sum & Cocktail Bar. The Duty Manager will have full oversight of Midnight Shanghai floor and bar, and work with seniors at back of the house on shift, assisting the team to achieve the best and smooth operation as well as a great celebration of guests visits.

This Duty manager role is focusing on keeping team standards high, training consistently and lining up to budgeting and costing of a restaurant with sections and guidelines in mind. With the intention of growing into senior and assistant manager with us in the structured career path.

If you have passion in the hospitality industry, understand the need of effective and professional communication, has can-do attitude in managing standards leading by example; as well as coaching junior teams to grow, then we would love to talk.

Duties and responsibilities would include:
- Overall operational responsibility to delegating while managing daily operations and teams dynamics.
- Lead on shift with training schedules, including front of house and back of house.
- Strong in budgeting and costing, reporting and training aspects, while hands on leading by example.
- Daily checklist including roster, cost review & sections assignment, stock control & bar optimisations, venue maintenance and Duty Manager shift delegation

Successful applicants will have relevant duty manager, team leader level work experience in the hospitality space.
