I am looking for a few students who are hardworking and reliable to help with gardening (hedge trimming, mulching, weeding etc) for 6-8 hours in Otahuhu for one day only - Wednesday 5th November

Applicants will need to be physically fit and strong and have good work ethic - preferably with gardening and landscaping experience, but not necessary.


The job will take place on an industrial site in Otahuhu, not a domestic garden,  so being site wary is important for this role. It is not an easy location to get to so you may need to have a vehicle. Because safety is an issue and I am managing a team, your grasp of english will need to be excellent. 

There will be a mix of light and hard gardening tasks, but will mostly revolve around hedge trimming, weeding mulching and cleaning up.

No tools will be necessary however students must wear closed in, sturdy shoes. Ideally you can also bring a pair of safety goggles, gloves and ear muffs and a hi-vis top however I can provide these on site if you do not have them - just let me know.

It is an exposed site so sunhat and sunscreen, raincoat are advised, and plenty of drinking water. There are lunch bars nearby but you may wish to pack your own lunch to save time.

You will be paid $32.50 an hour as a subcontractor, lunch break will be in your time, but you get to decide when.  You will need to email an invoice at the end of the day and payment is within a week which in this case will be Wednesday 5th of November. It's generally a hard work but pretty fun day with a good team and the possibility of more work in future for switched on workers. 
In this role you will be working as a self employed contractor, for this reason those on student visas will most likely not be eligible to apply.
