AquaGym Swim Centre

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Service & Front of House Management

  • Warmly greet all patrons, members, and visitors upon entry, creating an immediate positive impression.
  • Answer all phone and in-person inquiries professionally, providing accurate and up-to-date information on swim programs (lessons, squad, adult lane swimming), facility hours and fees.
  • Proactively address and resolve customer feedback, concerns, and complaints with professionalism, escalating complex issues to the Supervisor as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception and lobby area at all times.

2. Administration & Financial Processing

  • Process all sales transactions accurately, including casual admissions, membership sign-ups, program enrolments, and retail purchases (e.g., goggles, caps).
  • Manage the Point of Sale (POS) system, including daily cash handling, processing card payments, and reconciling the cash register at the end of each shift.
  • Manage and update customer databases, ensuring accurate record-keeping for enrolments, memberships, and contact information.
  • Assist in monitoring the lobby area to ensure the safety and security of patrons, and be familiar with all centre emergency procedures.

Working Hours

  • Must be available for a Sunday morning shift 7.20am - 1.15pm and one other afternoon minimum consistently
  • Holiday Options: flexible shifts are available during school holiday periods to cover extended centre operating hours and holiday programs.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a customer-facing role (reception, retail, hospitality, or leisure centre environment).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a professional and friendly manner.
  • Proficiency in cash handling and operating a computerised Point of Sale (POS) or booking system.
  • High level of organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible to work the required term-time schedule.
