My 81-year-old mum has lost the ability to walk without someone beside her, shower herself, and look after herself in general. Her mind is still perfectly fine. Looking for a physically fit and caring person to spend time with her, and help her as required. Prefer a female. Mum will be living with myself (Glenn), her son, and her two grandsons starting Saturday, 4 Oct, until she either recovers or goes into rest home care. So this role duration is unknown but could be 2 to 6 weeks... Both her grandsons will be working from home and able to help her after about 10 am and I will be there at night after work to help her. We are looking for someone to help out initially in the mornings from around 7.45 am to 10 am - 7 days per week. If this is not possible with one person, then we may need to job share it with 2 or more people. The morning work could consist of helping mum to the bathroom as required, preparing a simple breakfast, helping mum shower, preparing meals for her, helping her move between rooms, and general support activities. We may also need some casual support by agreement for other hours: eg: during the weekends.
