Work with an up and coming small business! Based in Wellington, we design and manufacture tools and materials for artists. We are focussed on developing products that are functional and beautiful, sustainable and environmentally responsible. We want our customers to know they can buy once and buy well when they shop with us.
We need a confident and skilled graduate graphic designer to help us establish our look. You'll be working in partnership with the owner who is an artist too.
This is a fixed contract to be paid hourly at an agreed rate. While this job is a fixed contract, there is the possibility of further work in the future for the right person. Hours are flexible, the majority of the work will be working from home with some face-to-face meetings, and most deadlines can be negotiated together. The role is based in the Wellington Region.
To start with, we need:
- a logo suite (primary, secondary and submark logo)
- a colour palette and font/s
- email signatures
- environmentally responsible packaging, including product labels, tissue paper, envelopes, swing tags, boxes
- simple advertising templates
- and a basic website using a platform such as wix, shopify or squarespace.
There might be items/tasks additional to the list above that we identify during our work together - these will be discussed and agreed upon at the time, and will also be paid hourly.
You must have solid digital abilities and a high level of skill at communicating through graphic design. We live and breathe art and design, and we’re looking for a designer who feels the same about graphic design.
This role is ideal for a new graduate or a post graduate of graphic design.
