My wee boy, Abel, is a delightful little boy who loves fun interactions and all forms of music. He is non verbal and uses lots of expression to communicate and so enjoys fun engagement with kind folk. Abel is 9 years old and has global development delay with an estimated developmental age of 12-15 months. To support his sunny outlook on life, I am looking for a kind and fun loving person/s to have some joyful hangouts with Abel at this home in Lyall Bay. Either a couple of afternoons during the week and/or in the weekend would be lovely. And just a couple of hours of play per shift would be amazing. There is no personal care required - just a lightness of heart and a bit more creative energy than this mum can’t muster up at the moment. This role would suit anyone who loves kids and enjoys having fun. An interest in working with children with intellectual and physical disabilities would be a plus but not essential. This is a new role and I’m keen to see how it develops. Really open to your suggestions on how it could work and pretty flexible with hours etc.
