Hospice West Auckland has been providing specialist end-of-life care to our community for almost 40 years. Our Hospice Shops are a key part of how we fund these services — and Goods Transporters play an essential role in keeping them running smoothly.
We’re looking for a reliable, practical, and people-focused driver to join our retail team, working with our customers, donors, retail managers and staff, plus our wider Hospice team. This is a busy, energetic, and rewarding role where you will interact with a wide range of people who provide, support or benefit from our Hospice services.
About the Role
You’ll be on the road each day across West Auckland, collecting donated goods from individuals and businesses, and delivering them to our retail stores. You’ll represent Hospice West Auckland in the community and ensure every interaction with our donors is professional, respectful, and positive.
This is a physical, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll work closely with our retail and distribution teams and occasionally support sorting and handling stock when required.
Our Goods Transporters work from Tuesday - Saturday from 7:30am - 4:30pm. This is a permanent role and we are open to part or full time, depending on your availaiblity.
What You’ll Need:
· A full, unrestricted NZ driver’s licence (manual experience required)
· Physically fit and able to lift furniture and other heavy items
· Strong customer service and communication skills
· Familiar with the West Auckland area
· Organised and reliable, with good time management
· Able to work independently and as part of a team
· Flexible and willing to support broader retail operations when needed
