- Wanna get paid while watching Netflix? Some fabrication tasks are chill, repetitive, and perfect for that
- Flexible, creative work, set your own hours and work from wherever once trained
- Be part of something growing, you’ll directly shape how a design brand scales and experiment with new materials and ideas
The Role
We’re looking for a Creative Fabricator / Studio Assistant to help bring our designs to life.
You’ll be working closely with the founder on small-batch production, fabrication, and finishing of our products from casting to assembly, post-processing and packaging.
This is a hands-on, design-oriented role for someone who loves working with materials and wants to see how a creative brand is built from the ground up.
About ACR Project
ACR Project is a home decor and design brand that’s reimagining the objects that fill our homes.
We create limited-run, design-driven objects that blend modern fabrication techniques with a deeply personal creative process.
We’re growing, and we’re looking for someone who shares our curiosity for design, enjoys working hands-on, and takes pride in the details that make a product feel special.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with post-processing, sanding, casting and assembling small-batch home décor pieces
- Support product finishing and quality control to ensure pieces meet studio standards
- Help with packaging, labeling, and preparing orders for shipment
- Maintain and organize studio tools, materials, and workspace
- Occasionally help with content capture (behind-the-scenes photos/videos)
- Work closely with the founder to refine processes for smoother production
What We’re Looking For
- Someone hands-on — you enjoy making, tinkering, experimenting
- A strong eye for detail and appreciation for good design
- Comfortable working with glue, moulds, or basic fabrication tools (experience ideal but not essential)
- Reliable, organized, and takes ownership of tasks
- Ideally a design, art, or engineering student / maker who loves physical craft
Hours & Compensation
- Part-time / flexible, with potential to increase as production scales
- $25 NZD/hr
- Some processes may require short, consistent sessions during the week
- Remote or in-person work (East Auckland) as long as weekly production targets are met
- Start date: Sometime next month (TBD)
