We are seeking a motivated student to join our team for the summer period. This role offers a rare combination of practical production and dispatch work, standard operating procedure development, and behind-the-scenes exposure to food technology and product development — with a strong AI twist.
The successful applicant will assist with both day-to-day dispatch and logistics tasks while helping document best practices and support project-based consultancy activities. You’ll gain exposure to our full operation — from product design through manufacture, sales, marketing, and distribution — as well as hands-on experience helping develop and streamline our systems in a fast-growing consultancy.
Key Responsibilities.
- Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
for production, quality, and dispatch processes through the use of hands on understanding
and AI based systems. - Contribute to the design and improvement of digital systems
used across the consultancy and factory. - Assist with data organisation, process mapping, and internal
reporting. - Support ongoing food technology consultancy projects with
research, documentation, or technical tasks. - Assist with preparation and production of sports drink
concentrates (bottling, labelling, packaging) and related activities when
required, leading to supervision of staff. - Help maintain cleanliness and organisation within the
production area. - Support dispatch operations, including order picking and
packing. Follow all health, safety, and quality
protocols.
Requirements:
- Fast learner with strong initiative.
- Currently studying a degree-level programme in Food Technology or Food Science.
- Strong attention to detail and a hands-on attitude.
- Genuine interest in both practical and digital aspects of the food industry (experience with AI tools a plus).
- Must hold a valid vehicle licence and have access to transport.
Working Hours:
Flexible, typically around 30 hours per week from November through February, with the potential for remote work continuation into the academic year for the right candidate.
