My son has been attending Mapura for many years. There are tutors and volunteers at the class but he needs one-on-one support. He is non-verbal but has no bahavioural challenges. He loves his art and Mapura is one of his happy places. The class is specifically for people with special needs.

Pick-up is in Remuera and you would be driving him to Mt Albert, so your own car and a full licence is required.

You will be an artist yourself and support him to explore different mediums.

The hours vary depending on working hours of parents. Start time is 8:30 or 9:00, and finish times vary between 12:15 and 2:00, so flexibility is required.

I am also looking for someone to work with my other son, who also has autism, on a Tuesday. He enjoys painting and photography. I have advertised this job separately but ideally it will be the same person doing both jobs.
