About us: Student Job Search is a charity dedicated to connecting students with employment that supports their studies and daily lives. By opening access to job opportunities, we help break down financial barriers, promote equitable access to education, and ease hardship, one job at a time.

About the role: As a Platform Support Specialist at Student Job Search, you’ll be the first point of contact for students and employers who wish to connect with each other through employment. You’ll use your strong customer service skills to provide efficient, high-quality support across phone, email, and digital channels. You will respond to enquiries, complaints and feedback, providing updates and troubleshooting issues with a solutions-focused mindset.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Being the first point of contact via telephone and email, providing updates assist with troubleshooting - Be the reason our platform users have a great experience!
  • Engaging with both students and employers, assisting employers with job listings and fulfilling their hiring needs - Supporting our mission one enquiry at a time.
  • Collaborate closely with your team to ensure collective success and seamless service delivery – You will find support everywhere you look in our team.
  • Share your experience & knowledge with our marketing team to build and maintain our brand
  • Provide administrative support, maintain data accuracy, and contribute to continuous improvement projects. Support back-end processes and help coordinate enhancements with our marketing and technology teams.
  • Support students with their queries around CV and cover letters when they’re applying for roles.

Who you are:

  • Confident, friendly, and helpful with a strong interest in Human Resources and people-focused work
  • Passionate about supporting others and contributing to a positive, supportive workplace culture
  • Based in Wellington for the Summer.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive with excellent time management and organisational abilities
  • Experienced in delivering outstanding customer service and comfortable engaging with a wide range of people over the phone and email.
