Junior Estimator FSL Construction and Interiors | Gisborne Your vision, our expertise, perfectly executed. FSL Construction and Interiors are looking for a Junior Estimator to join our Gisborne team, offering full-career development, direct mentoring and the chance to help deliver high-quality commercial interior and fit-out/construction projects across Tairāwhiti and across the country! At FSL Construction and Interiors we intend to create seamless construction from acquisitions to opening your new space. You’ll gain experience across feasibility pricing, tendering and contract support across the fitout/construction sector of the business. For the right person, there’s genuine long-term opportunity with potential equity in the business. What you’ll do: • Support early feasibility pricing and high-level cost planning for clients • Assist with estimating, tendering and procurement of materials and subcontractors • Prepare cost reports, monitor budgets and support margin improvement • Manage variations, progress claims and final accounts • Identify and communicate potential project risks and contingencies • Foster strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and the project team About you: • Recent graduate or junior QS with a degree (or near completion) in Quantity Surveying or Construction • Strong with numbers, detail-oriented and confident communicating with others • Keen to learn, hands-on and curious about how projects come together • Interested in commercial interiors and practical cost management • Organised, proactive and eager to take responsibility early • Based in or open to relocating to Gisborne for lifestyle and growth Why join Fit Out Solutions: • One-on-one mentoring from our Gisborne -based Commercial Manager. • Exposure to early feasibility work through to project delivery. • Diverse portfolio across commercial, retail, hospitality and medical and office interiors. • Genuine career progression and future equity potential. • Supportive culture focused on learning and collaboration. • Swap traffic for beaches, good mates and a way better work-life balance!
