The Cashier at The Food Dude Food Truck is responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This role helps ensure smooth daily operations by assisting with orders, payments, and general customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner

Process cash, card, and mobile payments; issue receipts and correct change.

Answer questions about menu items and make recommendations when needed.

Communicate customer orders clearly to the cooking staff.

Ensure the counter, payment area, and condiment station are clean and stocked.

Manage order flow efficiently during busy periods.

Handle customer concerns or complaints courteously and promptly.

Assist with setup and breakdown of the food truck as needed.

Follow all food safety, hygiene, and company policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Previous cashier or customer service experience (preferred but not required).

Basic math and computer skills.

Friendly, positive, and team-oriented attitude.

Strong communication and multitasking skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.

Must be punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.

Working Conditions:

Work takes place primarily in and around the food truck.
