22 Degrees’ Summer Internship Programme offers a unique introduction to consulting engineering. Targeted at students interested in the built environment and ideally those close to completion or recently graduated.

This programme will be held in our Ponsonby office, five days a week for four - six weeks (35hr Week), offering up to 240 Professional Hours.

Programme Overview

• Introduction to building services
• Introduction to sustainable design, reporting & safety in design
• Introduction to Ventilation & Building Energy Systems (mechanical focus)
• Introduction to Power, Security & Lighting Systems (electrical focus)
• Hydraulics and Fire Protection systems design
• Introduction to 3D modelling and BIM.
• Hands-on project work

Selection Criteria

Suitable studies include engineering mechanical & electrical, architectural engineering, and mechatronics. Students should ideally be in the final stages of their degree or have recently graduated.
