For the last two years SJS has offered a free to call 0800 number to students from both landlines and cellphones.

Unfortunately we have had two issues arise, meaning that as a not-for-profit organisation offering a free employer service on a limited budget, we can no longer afford to allow free cellphone calls to students.  These two issues are:

• Call volume increase is well up on last year and is more than what we planned or budgeted for 
• We have received a higher proportion of calls from cell phones than planned (which cost 3-6 times as much to SJS as calling from a landline per call)

As a result from Thursday 14th January cell phone calls from students will no longer be accepted to 0800 757 562. 

Instead students can:

• Ring 0800 757 562 free from a landline
• Ring 04 471 1967 from a cellphone
• Visit your nearest SJS office (you can find these on the  ‘Contact Us’ page.  Click here to view  office locations)

We appreciate your understanding with this change.  This is absolutely necessary to ensure we can continue to offer a free employment service to NZ’s tertiary students, and focus on getting as many job vacancies for students as we can.
